GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
TeAda Productions is hosting its second ever seasonal
CreAtive Healing Lab (CHL) in Los Angeles, which will take place between the months of
October 2025 - June 2026. As part of this series, all-star guest teaching artists will facilitate workshops that combine the arts, social justice, and collective healing. The intention of
CHL is to co-create a sanctuary-third place for community to gather, process current events and futures, build, and heal through sharing space, and creating art.
Below, you will find a description for each workshop, and the corresponding dates & times. After reading through, please select ALL workshop(s) you would like to attend.
On the next page you will see A LINK where you may send an online donation. Suggested donation is $20-50/workshop (please note this especially if there are multiple workshops that you'd like to attend). Pay what you can in advance, or pay at the door!

WORKSHOP DATES & DESCRIPTIONS:
"Living Plants, Living Culture" w/ Noelani Mengel
Saturday, June 6th
10am - 12pm
This hands-on workshop navigates the Hawaiian canoe plant, ki. Propagation to then exploring the creative and cultural uses of the plant. Through story telling and practice, the workshop highlights plants as connectors of culture, creativity, and community. We will begin the workshop with hands in the soil, creating root bags for ki propagation. We will move inside to make lei and talk story about Hawaiian cultural meanings and uses of ki until pau.
