LPL Women Lunch January 2020
Tuesday, January 28, noon - 1:30 pm, Kuiper 309
Come meet other women at LPL, socialize and chat about life as a planetary scientist as well as about issues related to equity and inclusion. Having a guest speaker was a big success last time. Therefore, we will have another guest speaker this time: Karen Francis-Begay (UArizona Assistant Vice President, Tribal Relations) will talk about the challenges that Native Americans face in higher education. We will also be joined by Allison Hughes, Vice President of Communications of the newly created Women in STEM Student Council (WiSSC), who wants to get to know our group and will give a brief overview of what WiSSC does.
As always, the lunch is open to people of all gender identities.
Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 21, 2020!
