Rensselaer Faculty and Staff Workshop - Active Learning in Action
Are you are interested in learning more about the active learning exercises that you may be able to implement in your course or program? Have you considered implementing active learning but need more concrete examples? This workshop is for you! Please join us to discuss the practice of active learning, the benefits, and experience some of the more popular active learning exercises.

We are very excited to announce that we have Alicia Walf, lecturer in Cognitive Sciences, joining us for this interactive session. She will share her successes regarding implementation of active and experiential learning techniques in the classroom, which have proved successful in promoting a sense of community, while increasing student engagement.

This workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 17th from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm in the Beta Classroom, first floor of Folsom Library.

Maureen Fodera (Office of Undergraduate Education) and Alicia Walf (Cognitive Sciences) will be teaming up to present this workshop.

Please be sure to bring a laptop or mobile device as this will be an engaging workshop. Note: Food and drinks are not allowed in the Beta Classroom.
