You’re not automatically a member of LPC! You might not know this but teens aren’t automatically members of LPC. At our church we want everyone to make a concious choice to be members of our congregation family - So even if your parents are members you’ve got to make a choice to join LPC on your own. In Kaleo we'll learn more about God’s call (“Kaleo”) on our live to love, follow and serve Jesus and We will learn what it means to follow the call of Christ and to be a member of LPC. Kaleo Students will meet with an "Elder Mentor" on the first sunday of every month.
Elder Mentor Description: An Elder of LPC currently serving or served previously meets with a student once a month to go over and discuss the basics of Christian Faith either during the Sunday school hour (10 am) or during an alternately arranged time. The goal of the class is to provide students with knowledge to intentionally respond to Jesus’ call on their lives to follow Him. Our goal is for students to join LPC but not just because it’s what they are supposed to do we want our students to actively respond to the Gospel, choose for themselves and take ownership of their faith. The elder will be provided all material and training necessary for these meetings by LPC Student Ministries. Months of meeting: September, October, November, December, January, February, Ending with a session meeting and special Sunday Brunch in March.
