ELIGIBILITY: All entries must have been published in a recurring print news publication or website. Articles, photos and other submissions must have been published in an ongoing news publication in print or online from Jan. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2018, by any current high school student. Work by June 2018 graduates is not eligible.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: If there is no URL, please upload a pdf of the page(s) of the print issue in which it appeared. Entries published only in print may be submitted as PDFs or photographs of the print pages. Please rename PDFs as the Category Number, followed by the Author's last name (For example, "Category2_Doe.pdf"). If multiple authors are credited on the same entry, only include one name in the file name. Files with improper names will not be considered. PLEASE NOTE: Entries submitted as text only (in Word, Google Docs or other text editing software) will not be considered.
DEADLINE: Entries must be received by Jan. 20, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
LIMIT: There is a limit of three articles per category per school. Only the first three submissions in a given category by the same school will be considered.
PAYMENT: Entries are $5 each. JSPA Member Individuals receive the first three entries free. Member Schools receive the first 20 entries free. Payment is by accepted by PayPal only. Please only make one payment to cover all applicable entries.
