Artisan/Craft Vendor Application (non-food Items)
Withrow Park Farmers' Market
Every Saturday, rain or shine!
June 5 to October 16, 2021
The Withrow Park Farmers’ Market has been created to connect Ontario farmers and producers of specialty food items with consumers in a direct exchange. Although the primary directive of the market is to connect urban eaters with local farmers and food producers, we want to encourage other forms of local economic development.
To keep in line with the values of the Withrow Park Farmers' Market preference will be given to items related to the garden or agriculture, followed by products that use natural, upcycled, eco-friendly, and/or sustainable materials - including packaging. All products must be hand-crafted locally. No resellers of products allowed. Special permission may be given to fair-trade items.
Vendor fees per vendor, per 10'x10' space: $40 per market day
Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, and weather protection. Fees are nonrefundable. If the market should be canceled at any time, the vendor will be reimbursed - We have so far never canceled a market day.
PLEASE NOTE: due to COVID-19 restrictions were are limited on the number of vendors that we can have on-site. As such completing an application does not guarantee you a spot at the farmers' market. You will be added to our waitlist and the Market Manager will contact you if a spot is available.
Vehicle Access and Parking
Free parking is available on residential streets surrounding Withrow Park. Vehicle access to the park is allowed during setup and take-down ONLY. Curb side parking on McConnell Ave is reserved for full time farmers only.
It is expected that all participating vendors be proactive and help spread the word about the Withrow Park Farmers' Market particulary leading up to days when you will be attending. This includes through your own social media networks, newsletters and word of mouth.
Zero Waste Market
Withrow Park Farmers' Market is participating in initiatives to bring awareness to the plastic pollution problem. We encourage all of our vendors to avoid offering plastic bags, as well as plastic packaging. Where ever possible vendors must avoid wrapping products in plastic.
