As a Corporate Campaigns intern, you will play an important role in securing meaningful chicken welfare policies from major food companies. You will have the opportunity assist our campaigns department and will be involved in a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to, engaging campaign supporters on various social media platforms, conducting research projects alongside campaigners, and participating in grassroots activities such as phone banking, letter writing to executives, and submitting letters to the editors.
Through this internship, you will:-Gain basic knowledge of farmed animal issues-Learn how to effectively use social media platforms to maximize the visibility and impact of messaging for farmed animals-Gain experience communicating complex issues to campaign supporters -Sharpen your research and processing skills-Gain insight into how The Humane League develops campaign strategy for corporate efforts when fighting for farmed animal welfare-Experience a direct correlation between your work and how it positively impacts farmed animals-Have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with influential activists in the animal rights movement.
SKILLS REQUIRED:-Excellent communication skills — verbal and written-Attention to detail and willingness to learn-Creative and critical thinking-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-Comfort using major social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube.-Availability for at least three months.
