The North Carolina Center for the Book is a collection of North Carolina Humanities’ literature and reading programs that celebrate the importance of books, reading, libraries, and North Carolina’s literary heritage to ignite a statewide community of readers through shared reading experiences and meaningful conversation.
If you have a book title that you would like to share with us that meets the listed program criteria on
our website, please complete this short form. Please note, submission of a title
does not guarantee selection by North Carolina Humanities for its North Carolina Center for the Book programs.
Please Note:
- Books selected for North Carolina Reads are intended for readers 18+
- Books selected for the Great Reads from Great Places Adult title are intended for readers 18+
- Books selected for the Great Reads from Great Places Young Readers title are intended for readers 0-18 (This includes but is not limited to picture books, early reader books, first chapter books and graphic novels, middle grade chapter books and graphic novels, and young adult chapter books and graphic novels).
