In order to be considered as an adopter, you must:
-  Be 19 years of age or older. (we do check for identification)

-  Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord All landlords will be contacted before an adoption can be completed.

- Letting us ask to do home checks if we would ask you. If you would not agree to a home check if we ask you. You will be denied.

- Your animals MUST be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines or you will be denied.

-  Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet.

- Letting us do backgrounds checks.
 
-   If you surrender the dog/ cat after the 7-day time period, the surrender fee would be $50.

-  Incomplete applications will be subject to denial.

We do get in lots of application's in for animals! We try to get to them as fast and quickly as we can! If we please feel free to call us when it comes to the status of your adoption application! WE DO BACKGROUND CHECKS!! The Erna Badstieber Paws & Claws Adoption Center is a non-profit organization.  By signing below, I understand that I am entering into a contract with the Adoption Center. I certify that the above information is correct, and I recognize that any misrepresentation of fact will result in losing adoption privileges.  I authorize investigation of all statements in the application and understand that veterinarians, other humane societies, landlords, etc. may be contacted.  I further understand that this adoption process may take up to 72 hours.  We do have the right to do a home visit if needed if you do not want us doing a home visit you will be denied automatically. We DO NOT DO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS! We hope that each adoption is successful, but animals may be returned for full refund within the first 7 days.  After that time, returned animals are treated as owner surrenders and any applicable surrender fee will apply. If you would surrender the dog after the 7-day time period, it would be a fee of $50. We do have the right to deny or refuse service to anyone.
