DDBC Board of Directors Application
The Destination Downtown Brainerd Coalition (DDBC) exists to preserve and promote a healthy, vibrant downtown Brainerd for all residents and visitors. The DDBC provides advocacy and leadership to advance a collective vision for the future of downtown Brainerd.
Members of the board of directors shall be elected to serve a two-year term. This is a volunteer-board and directors are not compensated. Directors are expected to attend a monthly board meeting (held the first Thursday of the month at 8:15am); to serve on at least one of the standing committees; and to volunteer a minimum of four hours per month on initiatives and projects.
Elections are conducted at the Annual State of Downtown Meeting which is held the first Thursday in November; applications for annual election are due September 30. A vacancy in the Board of Directors may be filled for the balance of the unexpired term by action of a majority of the remaining directors; applications for a vacancy are to due no later than one day prior to the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors.
