Thanks for your interest in the Middle School Collaborative Language Acquisition Strategies for Success (MS CLASS) project!
The MS CLASS project incorporates evidence-based professional development (PD) strategies into weekly collaborative learning communities (CLCs) that all teachers on the campus will participate in with their grade-level or content-area team following a specific framework for teams to identify/discuss needs, integrate new learning, and reflect on practice during each CLC meeting. CLC meetings are led by a teacher leader who has regular classroom duties and release time (with stipends for completing all required
activities). MS CLASS also incorporates novice teacher mentoring and provides training for Mentor Teachers to support novice teachers in their first two years of service.
