Holme Valley South Covid-19 Hardship Fund
Councillor Paul Davies and Longley Farm have established a hardship fund for local people affected by financial hardship.
The purpose of this fund is to support those residents living within the Holme Valley South district ward, who have an immediate financial need. Specifically, the grant is aimed at those who find themselves unable to cover basic necessities, such as food, heating, housing, childcare or another emergency financial pressure, that cannot otherwise be addressed by the existing benefits system.
The intention of the fund is to provide a temporary financial stop-gap whilst the applicant addresses their financial situation, and is not intended to provide a long term solution to financial hardship.
This is not a means-tested grant. All residents living in the Holme Valley South council ward are eligible to apply.
Grants available:
Depending on need, a grant may be allocated up to the limits as indicated below:
• £200 – 2 adults/2 children
• £150 – 1 adult/2 children
• £100 – 1/2 adults
Only one grant will be made per household.
The Fund is administered by Holmfirth Tech. Decisions are made as to the allocation of the fund by an independent local panel who review applications made in relation to the fund's purpose. All discussions within the panel will be confidential. The panel may wish to contact the applicant to find out more details, and to explore whether any further support may be needed.
All information must be provided. Incomplete application forms may not be considered.
