--Class schedules will not be rearranged to accommodate the request.
--Any student planning to attend a four-year college or university after high school graduation should keep in mind that college admission counselors prefer that applicants enroll in a rigorous course of study throughout high school, including senior year. It is advised that any student consult with college admission counselors to determine how this might impact enrollment at the respective institution(s).
--The CMS Athletics Department has learned that the NCHSAA does not necessarily agree that student-athletes would retain eligibility if they take such a reduced load. If a senior wishes to play sports during the WINTER/SPRING semester, the senior must be enrolled in at least three 4X4 or (6 A/B Day) classes during the first semester, pass all of them and meet all other eligibility requirements.
--Seniors are still required to attend mandatory senior meetings/assemblies. Students must continue to make progress towards graduation.
--GPA and attendance will be reviewed throughout and at the end of each semester to determine eligibility.
--Seniors and/or their parents are required to provide transportation to and from school in accordance with the student’s schedule.
--Students participating in the Senior Late/Early Release Program may NOT remain on campus and may not stay in the Media Center, Cafeteria, or other teacher’s classroom.
--Participation in the Senior Early Release Program does not guarantee the receipt of a campus parking permit.
--Juniors are eligible for early release/late arrival as long as they are enrolled in a CPCC course.
