Nocturne Artist Proposal 2025
We're so glad you're here! You've found the form to fill out if you're interested in presenting work at the 2025 Nocturne Student Arts Festival.

Nocturne: A Middlebury Student Arts Festival, now in its eighth year, is an immersive, night-long celebration of art. On April 26th, when night falls, art will take over. Dance, film, painting, music, comedy, food, fashion, pottery, poetry and that out-there project you've always wanted to make happen will come together on Middlebury's campus. 

This year, Nocturne is on Saturday April 26th! We're making adjustments in our scheduling so that rain or shine, the date does not change. The festival is primarily outdoors and lasts from 7pm-1am! Setup for artists will start around 3pm on the 26th.

There is a mandatory artist meeting on March 6th at 5:30pm.

Describe your plan to set up and take down your project. We can offer limited support, so please be specific if you need assistance. **Projects must be set up by 6pm and taken down by 4am the night of the festival.**

Will this project require funding? We can provide up to $100, but please note that projects are not guaranteed funding.

By 7am Nocturne night, I will return all items that Nocturne has lent me to the pre-communicated location. I will clean up the entirety of my project site, including but not limited to personal items, items purchased with Nocturne funds, and any items that have been lent to me.

The items I am purchasing are with Nocturne funds and Nocturne has ownership of these items unless explicitly communicated otherwise. 

I will attend the artist meeting on March 5th

I will submit my finalized facilities, tech, and any other needs for my project by April 6th.

I will alert my Point Person by April 13th if I plan on dropping.

I will be respectful to other artists, Nocturne organizers, and school faculty and staff.
