Center for Indigenous Midwifery is an Indigenous-centered organization with a commitment to growing more culturally-matched Birthkeepers. CFIM's vision is "Healing generations with Indigenous midwifery wisdom and culturally-centered family support".
This an approved training for the Washington Department of Health. Participants are required to attend both in-person days and to complete attendance quizzes for all virtual sessions in order to receive a certificate. Once certified, participants can easily get credentialed through the State to bill Medicaid for birth doula services.

This is a hybrid training that will consist of:
- 5 online sessions imparted via zoom. Participants are encouraged to attend live but all virtual sessions will also be recorded and available to watch later.
- An in-person weekend to practice hands-on skills practice.
Attendance at BOTH in-person and virtual sessions is required to participate.
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENTS.
There is no cost for participants to attend. Unfortunately, no scholarships for lodging or travel are available.
These opportunities will be scheduled quarterly and you will be notified via email to sign up. Once again, thank you for your interest and we hope to share space with you very soon!
