Catholic Youth Climate Leadership Team Application, 2026-2027 School Year

The Catholic Youth Climate Leadership Team is part of the Catholic Climate Covenant Youth Mobilization program. The team will consist of high school students from various schools or parishes in your region. Together, you will work to address climate change and take leadership in the Catholic Church’s response to Laudato Si’. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, creative, able to complete tasks, and passionate about their faith and caring for God’s creation.

The leadership team will meet twice a month, virtually for one hour, during the 2026-2027 school year. During our meetings we will hear from experts in the Church, climate organizing, and science fields. Additionally, we will learn about advocacy, sustainability, climate leadership, and the Catholic Church's teachings on caring for God's creation. Students on the leadership team will also host a Catholic Youth Climate Summit for a larger audience of students in your region. The summit will include prayer, workshops, round table discussions, and creative strategizing. The goal is for each attendee to leave with an action plan to take back to their school, parish, and/or community.
