I recognize that there is an element of risk in any adventure, sport, or activity associated with the outdoors. I understand that the Alpine Watershed Group can not control most of the risks associated with the volunteer work that I will perform. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with knowledge of the hazards and potential dangers involved, and I agree to accept any and all risks of personal injury and property damage. I expect to be handling tools and equipment on rough and uneven terrain and that I may overexert myself or be working close to untrained volunteers who may cause me some injury.

As consideration for volunteering for this event, I hereby agree that I, and my assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives, will not make a claim against or sue Alpine Watershed Group or its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, or contractors for injury or damage resulting from any act or failure to act by those released herein, by other participants in Alpine Watershed Group activities, or by third parties. I HEREBY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE ALPINE WATERSHED GROUP AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND CONTRACTORS FROM ALL ACTIONS, CLAIMS, OR DEMANDS THAT I, MY HEIRS, GUARDIANS, AND LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES NOW HAVE, OR MAY HAVE IN THE FUTURE, FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I AM INJURED IN THE COURSE OF THE EVENT, I AM NOT COVERED BY ALPINE WATERSHED GROUP’S WORKERS’ COMPENSATION PROGRAM OR ANY OTHER INSURANCE.

I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself or for loss or damage to my personal property and expenses thereof that may occur as a result of my volunteer services with the Alpine Watershed Group. I further understand that the Alpine Watershed Group reserves the right to refuse any person it judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in a recreational event.

I further represent and warrant that I agree to follow Coronavirus guidelines as specified on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website (www.cdc.gov), that I am not currently experiencing symptoms of a Coronavirus or other communicable disease, including, but not limited to COVID-19 (e.g., fever, shortness of breath, cough), that I am not suspected of having COVID-19 or any other communicable disease, and that I have not been recently diagnosed with COVID-19 or any other communicable disease, and that to my knowledge I am not likely to infect anyone by my participation in the Activity. It is further understood that should I contract COVID-19, or any other virus, while volunteering for Alpine Watershed Group, that no coverage will be afforded to me, or to others that may be infected by me, due to coverage restrictions.

I authorize Alpine Watershed Group to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf in case of injury, accident, or illness to me arising from my involvement as a volunteer. I understand that I will be responsible for medical costs incurred by such accident, illness, or injury.

I grant and convey unto Alpine Watershed Group all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings of me or taken or created by me at the event, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photos and recordings.

We expect all volunteers to abide by the Volunteer Code of Conduct, which is available upon request.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
