2026 Arizona Chinese Speech Contest and "Chinese Bridge" State Qualifying Competition Registration Form

Outstanding Non-Native Speaker participants will have the opportunity to advance to the Southwest Regional “Chinese Bridge” competition. The Chinese Bridge competition committee reserves the right to determine contestants’ eligibility for advancement.
A talent performance related to Chinese culture is required in order to be considered for the regional competition.

E3. Elementary Grade 4-6. 1-2 minutes video on the topic of “快乐中文 Joyful Chinese”.

S1. Secondary entire learning years <3 years (including elementary learning years). About 1-minute video on a topic of your own choice.

S2. Secondary entire learning years ≥3 (including elementary learning years). Around 2-minute video on the topic of “快乐中文Joyful Chinese".

U. College Students. Around 2 minutes on the topic of “天下一家 One World, One Family.”

7. What group do you belong to? *

Heritage Group (Definition: for Students who reside in a home where Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, or other dialects) is spoken to anyone on any occasion or where he or she may rely on one or more native, heritage, or other Chinese-speaking members of the household or immediate family to speak or to study Chinese.)

Non-Heritage Group (Definition: neither of the parents can speak Mandarin or have cultural background. The child learns Mandarin from school, an after-school language club, or a tutor.)

9. For Parents/Guardians: I grant permission to CLTA-AZ non-profit to use my child(ren)’s image (photographs and/or video) for use in Media publications including: CLTA-AZ Newsletters , Magazines , Website and/or Affiliates. (If you are the teacher filling this form, you must contact the parents in a written format (e.g. emails) to ask about the permission. CLTA-AZ appreciate your support!)
