LSU Sunshine Project 2020 Cast Member Application
Welcome to the Sunshine Project at LSU (formerly known as the Prism Project at LSU)!

The Sunshine Project is a performing arts program for Baton Rouge-area students age 6-16 with special needs (“Cast Members”). The Sunshine Project provides Cast Members with opportunities to learn appropriate social and performing arts skills and directly engage with their peers. Second, it is a training ground for LSU students (“CMDA Buddies”) who wish to work with children who have exceptionalities. On eight Sunday afternoons in the Spring 2020 semester, each Cast Member will come to LSU for two-hour sessions to learn theatre and musical skills alongside their CMDA Buddies.

A performance for friends, family, and public will be held April 5, 2020 in the School of Music.

We would LOVE to welcome your children into our Sunshine Project Family for Spring 2020. If your child has a special learning need(s) and you feel they would benefit from forming a special relationship with the LSU Buddies to put on a musical theatre performance, please fill out the following application. We are thrilled to be able to bring this valuable community service project to LSU. Our program was modeled after the Prism Project at Ball State University.
