Description:
Collecting bike sharing systems data and monitoring them leads us to understand and to recognize its unique elements and its possible successes and challenges. It also stimulates the development of innovations and new technologies, by generating greater public recognition and engagement.

Open Maps, such as the Bike Share World Map, the Meddin Bike-sharing World Map and the Latin American Bike-sharing Map, were developed with this purpose and it is a must for all the actors involved in the bike-sharing ecosystem to incentive and to promote such initiatives.
