Believe in the Arts Scholarship Application
The Believe In The Arts Foundation dance/tumbling scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition that is open to any child. The goal is to recognize students who are committed to using the fine arts to better their life and that of their family and/or community. The application must be fully completed. The award of each scholarship will depend on which class the student is interested in participating. This scholarship will include tuition of 1 hour of dance or tumbling class at To the Pointe Dance Company in the 2019-2020 season valued at $60 a month for 10 months which will be payed directly to TTPDC. Should the recipient decide to take additional classes, other than the 1 hour awarded they will be allowed to pay a discounted rate determined by the studio. If there are other items that are required for the class, such as dance shoes, tights, and leotard these items will the responsibility of the parent/guardian of the scholarship recipient. These items can be purchased from the studio store.

Parent/Guardian Responsibility
1. I will be able to have my child to class on time each week the studio is open.
2. I will pick up my child from the studio promptly after the class is over each week.
3. I will make sure my child has the items that are required for class each week.
4. If my child is receiving a dance scholarship, I will be able to have my child on time for each practice during recital week, which will include a dress rehearsal.
5. If my child is receiving a dance scholarship, I will be able to have my child on time for the dance recital with their dance costume and other items needed.
6. If my child receive a dance scholarship, I will provide my child with the require costume for the June recital of To the Pointe Dance Company. (approximately $200 which can be paid in payments to the studio over the course of the dance season)
7. Should I choose to enroll my child in additional classes for a discounted rate set by TTPDC I agree to pay said tuition amounts on or before the 10th of each month.

Student Responsibility
1. I will follow all studio rules/guidelines.
2. I will maintain satisfactory/passing grades.
3. I will follow the code of conduct at school.

The student is required to turn in a copy of their report each quarter for the scholarship committee to review.

If the student has five unexcused absences to their class that they have been awarded through the scholarship, the foundation will stop paying for the monthly tuition and the parent financially reasonable for paying the remainder monthly tuition.

Should parent/Guardian or student not uphold said responsibilities Believe in the Arts will have the option to cancel payment toward recipient's tuition of awarded class. .
