The VRID 2018 Conference is seeking volunteers to serve as Conference Support Staff this summer in beautiful and breezy Virginia Beach, Virginia! We are thrilled about this year's theme "Making Waves" with a goal to facilitate a positive approach to ongoing changes within the profession and the application of new information. VRID understands the importance of having Conference Support Staff as a vital part of our team in achieving a thriving and fruitful conference. We are recruiting motivated individuals who are not only interested in furthering their professional development, but also joining our efforts in making this year's conference a success! The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
•Assisting with conference logistics, i.e., room set-up, AV equipment, processing paperwork •Monitoring workshops and tending to the needs of presenters, attendees, and the interpreting team •Helping with registration and silent auction •Running errands and other conference related duties as assigned

*hotel accommodations will only be provided to students who are attending from out of town and will be assigned 2 students per room--local students will commute or arrange for accommodations on their own.
Current interpreting/ASL students, working interpreters, and Deaf individuals interested in joining the team are encouraged to apply. Come join us! . All Student Support Staff applicants must:
--be members of VRID or RID, or a member of NAD --be current students or have graduated within the last year--must have at least conversational fluency in ASL
