Thank you very much for supporting our program by serving as a judge/official or volunteer for our 2025-2026 Tournament Season. If you have volunteered with us in the past, you know what a great experience it is for the teams and what a rewarding day it is for the judges/officials and volunteers. If this is your first time with us, you are in for a fantastic experience. It is a long day, but seeing the teams and their excitement will keep you energized!!
Judges/officials must be over the age of 18 and not a current high school student. We welcome student volunteers in grades 9 - 12 or graduates under the age of 18, to assist us on tournament day.
Both judges/officials and volunteers over the age of 18 must complete the virtual General Judges Training and Certification. This will give you an overview of our program and what you may expect during tournament day. This is done annually, so if you are a returning judge/official or volunteer, you will need to complete this again for the current year. Links to the virtual portion and test will be emailed to you.
Judges/officials are also required to complete Problem Specific Training. This 2-3 hour training is held in person and conducted by our Problem Captains. Registration for trainings is included at the bottom of this registration form.
Each team of students competing this year must "nominate" an adult to serve as a judge/official. If you are a "Team Nominated" Judge/official, we will track that information through the team registration and make sure they get credit for your service. Please note that if you are serving as a "team nominated" judge/official, it is very important that you complete the training process and work the State Finals Tournament. (There is only one tournament this year.) If this is not completed, the team is subject to penalties.
Please Note:
Judges/officials and volunteers are assigned to a specific area/role for the entire tournament day (March 28, 2026). Unfortunately, if you have family members involved in the tournament, you will not be able to see their performances or be free to interact with them during the tournament. You will be expected to be on site and in your designated area for the entire tournament. Your Problem Captain or Volunteer Coordinator will give you your role or location as we get closer to tournament day. Lunch and snacks will be provided for you on tournament day. Thank you again for your commitment!!
