LA PRIDE 2019 FOOD VENDOR APPLICATION

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Completing this application does not guarantee you a space. We will notify you directly if we would like to move forward with booking you for this event.

COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES:
We receive an overwhelming amount of responses. Please stick to all email communications with Shelli Kosztowny. She will reach out to you directly via email if you are selected, we are making selections March through May 2019

EVENT FEES:
For this event, we work on a percentage of gross sales share system, dependent on whether you are a truck, cart or booth tented vendor. These rates are not negotiable and will be communicated if and when selected.

PAYMENT PROCESSING POLICY:
You must utilize the DLS POS systems for all cash and credit transactions. We conduct routine audits on festival days. Discovery of mishandling of cash or credit sales will result in immediate termination and blacklisting.

WHAT WE PROVIDE COMPLEMENTARY:
Your designated vending space, POS, great customer service.

BILLED FROM SETTLEMENT:
Power, Tenting, Tables, Signage Requirements, Beverages, Fire Extinguishers if Needed, etc.

BEVERAGE POLICY:
You must purchase the beverages listed below through DLS Events LLC, and resell at DLS set prices. Ice, Water, Energy Drink, Sports Drink, Soda unless otherwise approved/waived by DLS.

MENU POLICY:
All food & beverage items need to be submitted and approved by DLS prior to the event. We request each food vendor to offer a minimum of 1-3 Vegetarian or Vegan items on their menu. Being compliant with the food regulations is important to the overall food offerings of the festival.

SIGNAGE POLICY:
There are banner and menu board requirements for all food vendors. Costs will be billed from settlement if there are any passed onto DLS on your behalf. For carts and food trucks, menu boards will be situated.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:
All vendors participating at this event must have $1,000,000 of liability insurance. Upon acceptance to the festival, you will be forwarded additional information regarding insurance requirements. You must also provide us with your current re-sale number.

COMPLIANCE - HEALTH & BUSINESS PERMITS:
All vendors are required to be in full compliance within the Health & Business permitting requirements requested to operate. Failure to complete applications at times specified by DLS for health permits, business permits, etc, will result in automatic termination if already selected, and vendor will be billed all costs incurred to date on their behalf.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER POLICY:
You must have an ABC fire extinguisher that is valid within the state of vending. If you have fryers, you must additionally have a K-1 that is valid. Failure to bring these will result in us not allowing you to enter the grounds. This will result in automatic termination if already selected, and vendor will be billed all costs incurred to date on their behalf.

GREASE POLICY:
Food vendors must use ground cover inside their booth & cooking area for the absorption of grease. No grease or gray water is to be poured onto the ground or down any drains.

TRASH POLICY:
Vendors are responsible to properly bag trash within your sales location. Our clean-up crew will collect properly bagged trash from your space. Not properly cleaning up your space may result in cleaning fees. Please be prepared to dispose of your own oil collection onsite.

WATER POLICY:
Water may or may not be easily accessible - ask us directly. Please be prepared to be self-sufficient. Please bring appropriate hoses, hose connections, & transport buckets.

CREDENTIALS & PARKING:
Credentials are limited, and we will supply as many as your business needs to operate.
Unfortunately due to venue restrictions for this festival, there is no parking or on-site storage provided for food vendors. If selected, you will have to make parking and storage arrangements outside of the event site.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY:
The use or possession of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere inside or outside the venue. Narcotics officers will be working both areas and enforcing all drug-related laws. Do not bring any illegal substances to the event; violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you are found intoxicated at entry, security will not allow you to enter the venue. Event staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone. Be responsible, and make smart choices.

SECURITY & ENTRY POLICY:
Every attendee (including media) will be searched prior to entry. By purchasing a ticket, they agree to submit to a thorough, TSA-style search, including emptying your pockets and bags, a full pat-down, having all of your items examined, and possibly removing your shoes. Police officers work both inside and outside the event. All narcotics laws are strictly enforced. Event staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone.
