Joining the LWVWI Legislative Committee
Thank you for your interest in joining the LWVWI Legislative Committee and its work to support the mission¸ principles, and program positions of the League. Members of the committee include long term and new League members. All members volunteer their time to track legislation proposed in Wisconsin and, based on League positions, recommend a League response. The members of the Legislative Committee meet biweekly for one hour and vote on each recommendation. Provided below is background information about how the Committee functions, League positions, and how a bill becomes a law in Wisconsin. Please check over these documents. If you have questions, set up a time to talk with either Legislative Committee Chair (lwvwilegcomchair@lwvwi.org) or LWVWI Leg. Committee Staff, Anastasia Soluna (asoluna@lwvwi.org).  Please allow a week for either one to get back to you.

Please note: New Legislative Committee members can be assured that experienced Committee members are available to provide guidance when requested. Simply email Anastasia to connect you with one.
