Chill at the Mill: A Scavenger Hunt through Fair Haven
Purpose

This scavenger hunt was inspired by the Urban Waters Initiative Fair Haven PhotoVoice Project held during the summer of 2022. People conducted this neighborhood project like you! Your contribution to this scavenger hunt will help us better understand your priorities and concerns in Fair Haven.

What's PhotoVoice?

PhotoVoice is a data collection method using photography to identify, represent and enhance a community through the lens of its residents.

Residents took over 100 pictures around Fair Haven. These images creatively captured their concerns and appreciation of the neighborhood. We had plenty of conversations about what these pictures mean and then placed them into five categories: abandoned buildings, green and blue spaces, homelessness, trash and litter, and safety hazards.

Most pictures showcase multiple issues, leading to the bigger question: how can these environmental spaces be improved as a whole?

By participating in this scavenger hunt, we ask you to help us answer that question and reimagine these spaces.
