JDC Central Delegate Applications

JDC Central (“JDCC”) can be best defined as the “Business Olympics of the Ontario and Atlantic Canada regions”. JDCC has teams compete in not only Academic competitions spanning Accounting, Finance, Business Strategy, Management Information Systems, and many others, but also Debate, Social, Charity, and Sports competitions too.
For Waterloo’s inaugural competition, JDCC Guelph 2014, Waterloo will be sending a “half delegation”, competing in:

- Academic: Accounting, Finance, Business Strategy, Management Information Systems
- Charity: JDCC teams run charity events throughout the year. Amount of money, donations, and logistics of the charity events are scored similar to an academic case
- Social: Broadway Musical competition
- Team Spirit: overall spirit of delegates is judged and scored with similar weight as any academic competition

Your application will be screened and successful applicants will be contacted for an interview/tryout. There is also a position in leadership also available for one of our successful delegate applicants! (A potential delegate's interest in this position will not factor into whether or not they make a case competition team)

Try-outs for academic teams will be on the weekend of September 28th and 29th.

Please note: if you successfully make the team, you are required to pay $100 up front on your delegate fee, as JDCC Organizing Committee require this payment by October 1st.

Following the first payment on October 1st, delegates will then owe another $300 by mid-October. The JDCC Execs are currently working with AFSA to have delegates refunded by $50 (which would be a net cost of $350 per delegate).

JDC Central takes place from January 24th to 27th of 2014 (travel on Friday evening and Monday morning).
