Background

Imara Leadership Initiative (ILI) Tanzania was founded in 2019 an Non- Governmental Organization  operating in the United Republic of Tanzania and achieved its full registration in 2022 with its key objectives: (i) To promote and strengthen capacity of youth, women, men and elderly ,(ii)To actively participate in social-economic solutions advancement in Tanzania, (iii) To advocate for inclusion of women’s social and productive needs in national, including subnational development planning and implementation processes; access to decent employment and control of productive resource and (iv) Conduct research and  publications and materials necessary for the achievement of the objectives declared here in above.

Imara Leadership Initiative works to build capacity and action for results in Leadership, Good Governance, Health welfare, Gender Equality, Peacebuilding and Digitalization with partners at continental,regional, national, sub-national and community levels. Application Requirements
Eligibility
  • Be a creative enthusiastic with digital skills. 
  • Having the right to work and live in the United Republic of Tanzania.
  • Be aged between 15 and 35 years.  
  • Keen interest in working Imara Leadership Initiative activities at continental, regional and country-led.
  • Fluency in English ( Kiswahili fluency not compulsory), other African Union / United Nations languages will be an added advantage.
Imara Leadership Initiative will support the volunteers by:
  • Providing monthly stipend support in the entire duration of their volunteers interval.
  • Providing technical support to the volunteers development.
  • Facilitate participation of the volunteers in key meetings stakeholders at national, regional, and international levels.
