Below you will find a list of our volunteer opportunities and a short summary of what to expect. Please choose all of the events that you are interested in.

Event: Interview Prep Day (IPD)
When? A Saturday in October
Time: 11am - 1pm
Time Commitment: 2 hours
* Help CV high school seniors prepare for their college interviews.You will
serve as mock interviewer. You’ll interview 2 CV students and give
constructive feedback to improve their interview skills. It's a great way to
work directly with CV students and support them on their path to college.

Event: Care Package Assembly
When? Mid November / Mid March, 5-7pm (Once a semester)
Time Commitment: 2 hours
* Every semester before finals, we send out care packages filled with
goodies and study essentials to our 260 college students. You will help
organize supplies and package them for mailing. Join us and wish our
students good luck as they prepare to finish the semester strong!

Event: Application Parties
When? December 1,2, 8 and 9
Time Commitment: 11am- 3pm (4 hours)
* During CV application parties, you are invited to help students edit
college essays, resumes, and applications before they hit the submit
button. You will work with about 2-4 students (depending on time and
workload). This event helps students make the final touches on their
work, bringing them one step closer to college. Choose any of the
application parties. Or all of them!

Event: FAFSA / CSS Workshops
When? December 10-14
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours (w/ training)
* You will first come in for training (Date: TBD) to learn more
about the FAFSA and CSS profile and how to fill them out with students
and families. On the day of the workshops, you will help them complete
their financial aid applications. With your help we can maximize
student's financial aid packages, making college an affordable option.

What? On-call volunteer
When? TBD
Time Commitment: Periodic opportunities, typically 2-4 hours at a time
* Throughout the year, we will be needing general help at the CV office.
Tasks include but are not limited to mail packaging, data entry,
organizing, etc.

What? 1 on 1 Application Help
When? September - December
Time Commitment: At least one regular 2-hour afternoon block, once a week from October through December
* Provide extra support to students by working with them 1-on-1
throughout their application process. You will first come to learn more
about our students and how to work on their applications. And depending
on your availability, you will be scheduled to come in 1-2 times a week to
help students brainstorm essay ideas, revise essays and resumes, and
complete applications.

What? Serve on a Panel Discussion
When? TBD
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours
* Want to share your career path? Want to talk more about your college
experience? Join us and share your story! Throughout the year, CV
holds panel discussions for our current college students who want to
learn about different careers and majors. Serving as a panelist, you’ll
get to learn more about our students and help them learn about what
opportunities are available during college and post graduation.

Time Commitment: TBD
* If you believe in our work and want to spread the word, you can host a
party and do just that. Hosts will plan the event and invite guests to learn
more about College Visions. The party can happen at your home or
another venue. You provide the space, food, and guests. CV will provide
promotional materials and staff and students to tell the CV story. It’s a
great way to encourage your friends and family to join you as a CV donor
and volunteer.
