Our program is operated and supervised by our Children Program Leaders and LEAD-trained youth. Children in our Before/After School Program will enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and indoor/outdoor exploration. We have lots of fun at VVA and are thrilled to share it with our local community!
Our program space includes play areas both inside and outside. Inside, we have a gymnasium with attached kitchen and classrooms, lobby/cubby area for backpack storage, washrooms and fountain. Outside, we have a backyard with play structures, field, gardens, apple trees, and meadows/hill for coasting in the winter, as well as an outdoor forest ‘classroom’, and a large secure and safe paved area for balls, scooters, chalk, etc.
We are a small women-owned organization and believe in working together, building a safe, nurturing and strong community for our participants. Our values are communication, dedication and transparency. We uphold these values in all of our programs. For all Before/After School participants, we will work closely and get to know each participant and their family, to ensure we establish a pick up and drop off routine that works for you, and ensure you are confident and comfortable with the care provided.

2025-26 Times:
Monday to Friday
Before School opens at 7:30am
After School closes at 6:00pm (new!)
*Please note for Grand Portage students, families must notify Transco to secure bus transportation
*We will notify each school to ensure teachers and staff have list of students in our care
*Program will run following HRCE and CSAP calendars, except on snow days (calculated as part of the price)
2025-26 Fees:
Before School $1080 ($6/day)
After School $3240 ($18/day)
Or Bundle & Save - Both for $3600 ($20/day)
*Full Year Registrations Only
*2-month notice required for withdrawal
Registration Process:
1. Complete this registration form.
2. Receive an email confirmation of receipt of registration (email us if you haven't received notice from us after 2 business days)
3. Pay $100 Non-Refundable Deposit (taken off June monthly payment or pay fees in full)
Payments can be made in full by the 20th of August or monthly. If choosing monthly, payments are due on the 20th of the month before (August 20th-May 20th)
4. Receive an email confirmation of registration and receipt of payment. Ensure you have notified your school (and bus company, if needed). Then, you're all set!
