We review volunteer applications on a rolling basis beginning in February. We hope to schedule volunteer interviews from February onward so that we can welcome volunteers aboard beginning in mid-April, for our sail season running April-October.

Volunteers must be fully vaccinated (including COVID-19 booster) and be able to commit to a FULL WEEK (Sunday - Saturday) aboard Clearwater.

We sail from various docks between New York City and Albany every few days, so it is likely you will be joining the boat at one dock and disembarking at the end of the week from another.

Clearwater acknowledges that the construct of race disproportionately affects Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. We reflect and take action to ensure that we do not perpetuate white supremacy. Clearwater respects LGBTQIA+ people; we use language and actions that are respectful of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
