2020-2021 2nd 8 Weeks Student, Parent, and School Application for Online Learning Courses
This form is for parents/guardians to submit for consideration of online learning for their student for the 2020-2021 school year. Parent/Guardian, please submit one form for each of your children who will be pursuing online learning with Monroe County Schools.
Please note: If your child currently participates in our online learning program, parents/guardians do not have submit another form for the new grading period. Students currently enrolled in our online learning program will be automatically rolled over into the new grading period and will continue online instruction.
Students will work from home under the guidance of school instructional personnel for the local online program. If a student is enrolled in Georgia Virtual School, the student will be under the guidance of a state-assigned facilitator by Georgia Virtual School and not Monroe County Schools.
Students in elementary and middle school must complete at least 9 weeks and high school students must complete an entire semester in the online format.

Choose the appropriate commitment based on your child's grade level. For elementary and middle grades, this is a nine week commitment. For high school students, this is a semester commitment.

The demands of an online course are equal to or exceed those of the traditional “face-to-face” course. Online instruction places more responsibility on the student. The student, parent, and school recognize taking and succeeding in an online course require a partnership between the student, parent, and school.
This application must be completed in its entirety to be considered for full-time online learning placement.
