Application for Take Root at Green Space 2017/2018 Season!
Take Root series at Green Space is now proudly entering the 9th season of this program. It is our goal to aid in the continued development and performance of new dance work of various aesthetics providing choreographers with a produced opportunity. This curated, once a month series supports dance makers by providing our venue, Green Space, with technical and marketing support for a paired evening of work.

Deadline Extended: June 4th, 2017

· The Take Root series is a CURATED opportunity for emerging and/or established dance makers to present a paired
evening of FINISHED work produced with full production values.
· Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8pm.
· Each choreographer must present 30-40 MINUTES WORTH OF WORK.
· Selected work may NOT be performed in the NYC surrounding area two months prior and post of performance.
· The series is open to various dance aesthetics; selections will be based upon artistic merit.
· Minimum 5 years of professional experience required to apply.
· Artists will be provided a technical rehearsal the day before the show.
· Green Space will provide an in house lighting designer/stage manager, artist will be responsible for this fee.
· Choreographers will receive discounted rehearsal space.
· Artists will receive a small stipend for performances.
· Potential portion of box office proceeds based on audience attendance.
· There is no application fee.
