Hello Everyone!
We welcome you to submit proposals for the American Planning Association – New York Metropolitan Chapter annual conference on Thursday, October 15th, 2026.
Our conference seeks a diverse range of formats, from solo presentations to engaging panel discussions. Each session is expected to last approximately 60 Minutes, allowing time for questions and answers. We encourage you to submit a proposal because we want to hear about your research, accomplishments, ideas, and overall contribution to the discourse within our community.
The theme intends to focus on how to chart out a comprehensive vision of the future for all New Yorkers. You should feel free to think broadly about the theme when considering your submissions.
Submissions should be submitted HERE no later than 5:00 PM on September 4th, 2026
Proposals should include the following:
- Title of Submission
- Planning Topic
- CM Credit Information
- Presenter(s) and confirmation of their commitment
- A 200-word description of the presentation
- General outline of the run of show
- Technical needs (e.g., slide presentation)
- Preferred style of discussion (panel, keynote address, Q&A, combination, etc.)
