MT Space is making a gradual return to offering professional development workshops this year in partnership with The Registry Theatre. We are very excited to host a week-long intensive at an extremely affordable rate for those who are interested in further developing their skills in physical theatre and acquiring tools that stem from the unique methodology of theatre creation at MT Space.
We encourage participants to register for the entire 5-day intensive as the week has been curated to offer a cumulative learning experience. Each day will offer two sessions that dive into the fundamentals of physical theatre, movement, body and voice work, and performance.
Day 1 (Jan 15th) – Morning 10AM - 1PM: Introducing Physical Theatre (with Brad Cook), Afternoon 2PM - 5PM: Dance in Physical Theatre (with Trevor Copp)
Day 2 (Jan 16th) - Morning 10AM - 1PM: Movement and Improvisation (with Brad Cook), Afternoon 2PM - 5PM: Embodying the Voice (with Lesley Greco)
Day 3 (Jan 17th) - Full Day 10AM - 5PM: Taking Control – An Audition Workshop (with Lara Arabian)
Day 4 (Jan 18th) - Morning 10AM - 1PM: Revisiting Movement and Improvisation (with Brad Cook), Afternoon 2PM - 5PM: Movement with Others (with Trevor Copp)
Day 5 (January 19th) - Morning 10AM - 1PM: Maintaining the Grounded Body (with Brad Cook), Afternoon 2PM - 5PM: Directing in the MT Space Methodology (with Pam Patel)

The week will culminate in MT Space’s monthly TELL! – an open-mic coffeehouse-style event – on January 20th which, offers participants an opportunity to share or even “test out” anything that they gained or experienced throughout the week. TELL! is meant to bring artists and arts-lovers together to strengthen this community and provide a platform where art and ideas can be shared. We hope you can join us!
