Brooklyn Arts Council Citizen Folklife Team !
Throughout 2019, BAC Folk Arts will begin their initiative entitled, "Brooklyn Roots: Tracking Traditions Along the B & Q subway line.” This initiative will explore the traditional cultural practices from the following cultural communities along the B/Q subway line: Russian, Chinese, Mongolian, Georgian, Armenian, Belarusian in Sheepshead Bay; Central Asian (Tajikistan,Uzbekistan, Ukrainian, Crimean Tatar in Brighton Beach; Sephardic Jews in Mill Basin; and Azerbaijani and Pakistani in Midwood, and more! We need your help!
