Sequence analysis of SARS-CoV-2 Genomes
Online Course on Sequence Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 Genomes aims to provide conceptual understanding and hands-on skills in sequence analysis of SARS-CoV-2 genomes.

The programme is organised by the Vinod Scaria & Sridhar Sivasubbu Labs at the CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB) Delhi as part of the Genetic Epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 in Kerala (GENESCoV2) http://genescov2.genomes.in

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ?
1. Microbiologists and Researchers in the attempting to sequence SARS-CoV-2 genomes and wishing to update their knowledge and skillsets in sequence analysis
2. Clinicians and Medical Students who would like to know more about the methods of sequence analysis.
3. Undergraduate / Postgraduate Students with a background in life sciences / biotechnology / bioinformatics

PREREQUISTES
* A workstation/ laptop/ computer with with approximately 8GBRAM with a Linux based operating system should be sufficient to run all the analyses
* We would recommend a Debian based Linux distribution (Ubuntu (18.04LTS)Linux Distribution) as the Operating System with the user having superuser privileges.
* Expected that the participant is well versed in Linux based operating systems and knows command-line operations

TENTATIVE DATES
The programme is planned to start in the first week of February. Exact Dates would be communicated to selected participants.
