"Instructor Support and Blended Course Design Process in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University"

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University has an in-house Engineering Teaching and Learning Team comprised of specialized roles. The vision statement for the Team is to foster a culture of effective pedagogical practice to enable a transformative student learning experience in the engineering faculty. In order to enable this vision, the team adopts a “customer service” approach to providing a highly visible, safe and accessible location that faculty members can rely upon when exploring evidence-based effective practices for pedagogy and media design in support of their teaching practice. This presentation will explore the structure of the team, the types of support they provide, the process used for blended course design, and it will also showcase a couple of example learning objects that professors have created.
