On December 17th, Arts for a Better Bay Area and SAFEHouse Arts hosted the next online (Rebound: ARTS, Equity & Recovery) session on the Mayor's newly published Economic Recovery Task Force (ERTF) recommendations. These guidelines include efforts that involve and support the arts sector. We aimed to ensure you were informed of these recommendations and to help empower you as an artist or arts advocate to assess these guidelines and act on them if desired.
The online program included a collaboration bringing over 30 participants (speakers, facilitators, amplifiers, moderators, tech support, etc.) and close to 250 attendees. We feel we successfully brought together artists and arts workers passionate in their communities to connect, uplift, and support one another, but we may not have achieved our original goals.
As the arts sector has been severely and negatively affected in a multiplicity of contexts due to the pandemic, we feel the ERTF developed important frameworks that could help our community during and when we eventually move away from the pandemic.
We developed this survey to reach all session attendees and gauge your understanding of the ERTF recommendations. We hope to learn if there is an appetite for learning more, offer deeper dives per ERTF topic, or work together to hold our City family accountable to these arts-related recovery recommendations.
Please take this brief survey to help us learn from you to decide on future session topics and gatherings. Thank you for joining us. Thank you for taking this survey. We hope to stay connected - in solidarity!
(The survey should take 3-10 minutes)
