STUDENT VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

NYSABE invites college students to volunteer at our 42nd annual conference to support a major event focused on bilingual education and to learn more about the organization. This is a unique, firsthand opportunity to see the work NYSABE accomplishes on behalf of ELL students in New York State.

Volunteers are expected to sign up for a specific time period. They will be assigned to different tasks throughout the conference including but not limited to assisting conference participants with registration, seating during luncheons, locating workshop rooms, assisting with logistics, working with technology, etc. If you are volunteering for a whole day, you will be able to volunteer for half the day and attend sessions the other half of the day at no cost. A schedule will be created for you. Lunch will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to dress for success as this is a business-related event.

Please note that membership is not included with this participation experience. However, we highly encourage our volunteers to become a member of NYSABE. The Membership costs are as follows:

Membership Levels:
$35 Associate (full-time student, parent, paraprofessional)
$45 Regular (teacher, administrator, teacher educator, researcher)
