You are invited to the VISA Mural Workshop, a painting workshop/barbeque day at the Vancouver Island School of Art.

We will paint a big geometric design on the back of the school and learn about painting walls along the way.

This paint-in is a celebration of the Vancouver Island School of Art, a community art school that has been providing a place for gathering, art, and experimentation for the past 13 years. Hundreds of murals have been painted on this wall over the years, and this might be the last. Let’s make it count!

The event is by donation, $25-100. Donations go toward materials and the barbeque. You could also consider lending/donating things such as ladders, brushes, and rollers, or volunteering to make the day go smoothly.

Once participant forms are in, I will plan the design and activity based on number of participants, budget, and accessibility considerations. Everyone will receive an email in the days before the workshop.

The design will be bright, simple, and abstract.

Application deadline: June 15th, 2018
Workshop date:June 23rd, 2018 11-4 pm

The paint in will be followed by a BBQ at 4 pm that day
