The Lao boat racing festival is common throughout Laos. The festival is traditionally celebrate after Buddhist Lent, a three-month period generally running from late August to the end of October. The exact dates of the festival vary each year.
While boat racing has been a longstanding tradition in numerous South East Asian countries, including Laos, spanning centuries, its global reach began to flourish about four decades ago. Today, an increasing number of communities around the United States are embracing this unique event, witnessing its gradual ascent into the realm of popular sporting spectacles.
In Laos, after the rice planting season, usually toward the end of rainy season, Lao villages along Mekong River and Khan River would prepare themselves for the boat racing festival. It is a time of great anticipation, as communities embrace themselves for the festive boat racing festival that unites and energizes their surroundings.

- Early Bird Registration - Register and submit a non refundable deposit of $250.00 before August 1, 2025, the registration will be $450.00.
- Regular Registration - Register after August 1, 2024, the registration will be $500.00.
- Registration include 5 free entry tickets to the lake.
