Patriot Outdoor Adventure Club Summer Camps
Registrations received before 7am on March 8th will not be accepted. Each registration is time stamped.

MSAD #15 and Patriot Outdoor Adventure Club presents Summer Camps 2019!!!! The Patriot Outdoor Adventure Club is offering several one week day camps for students completing 5th-7th grade as well as two one-week Dunn School Adventure Camps for students completing 3rd and 4th grade. In addition to the day camps, we are offering a camping trip for 5th-7th graders to Moosehead Lake and Peaks-Kenny State Park area (Tentative). All camp weeks will include some traditional camp activities at our base location. Registration Deadline for all camps will be May 11th or when every slot is filled. We have the final two weeks of camp that are tentative currently. I have some logistics that need to be worked out. I will keep all that express interest in any of those weeks updated.

Brief camp descriptions are below:


*Dunn School Adventure Camp (2 weeks offered): (Current 3rd and 4th Graders) Dunn School Students will have the opportunity to kayak, hike, mountain bike and swim in locally and at select destinations outside our immediate area. There will also be some time spent at our home base participating in traditional adventure camp activities. Everything is geared towards upper elementary students. (July 8-12 and July 29-August 2)

*Multisport Weeks (2 weeks offered): (Current 5th, 6th and 7th Graders) mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and swimming will be the focal point these weeks. We will explore parts of Western Maine and local adventure spots. There will also be some time spent at our home base participating in traditional adventure camp activities. (July 8-12 and July 29-August 2)

****(Full)*****Waterfall Week: ****(Full)**** (Current 5th, 6th and 7th Graders) Hiking to, exploring and swimming in waterfalls are all possibilities this week. We explore Grafton Notch and Evans Notch along with many other places along the way. (July 15-19)

*Mountain Bike Week: Students will explore local bike trails. We will likely spend time at Libby Hill, Bradbury Mountain and Range Pond. (July 22-26)

*Kayak Week: (Current 5th, 6th and 7th Graders) Kayaking and swimming in places like Sabbathday Lake, Bryant Pond and Little Sebago Lake will be likely this week. The group may also travel to the Bryant Pond/Locke Mills area. (July 22-26)

****(Full)*****Swim and Hike Week: ****(Full)**** This is a tentative offering at this point. Campers will spend hours in and near the water at freshwater and saltwater beaches and waterfalls. There will be some hiking involved in this week. (August 5-9)

*Moosehead and Peaks-Kenny Basecamp Week: ***This is a tentative offering at this point. Plans will be solidified in the next few weeks. If you express interest, Mr. Welch will follow up when details have been worked out. (Current 5th, 6th and 7th Graders) Students will have the chance to camp at Peaks- Kenny State Park on picturesque Sebec Lake. Students will go on day excursions into the surrounding areas. hiking, kayaking, swimming and possibly biking will be the focus. All food, travel and camping fees are included in the cost of this week. Baxter State Park is another possible location. Final location will be determined in April. (August 12-16)

All day camps will operate from 8AM-4PM. The cost for day camps will be $190 per week. The basecamp trip will run from 8AM Monday morning to 4PM Friday afternoon. The cost of the basecamp trip will $415. A limited number of partial scholarships will be available. For additional information please contact Mr. Welch directly at dwelch@sad15.org. All camp balances are due by June 1st. Efforts will be made to get as many students involved in at least one week of the program.
