ECOSIGN Project: Eco-innovation Skills for European Designers
The ECOSIGN project has created an Eco-Innovation Skills Alliance in four European countries (Slovenia, Spain, Romania and Italy) with the goal of addressing the lack of knowledge of designers coming from three economic sectors -food packaging, electronic goods and clothing/textile- in Eco-design (design for the environment: is the integration of environmental considerations in product development).
ECOSIGN will allow industrial designers from those sectors to reduce environmental impact during the products life-cycle, including the use of raw materials and natural resources, manufacturing, packaging, transport, disposal and recycling.
The alliance is integrated by the following twelve partners (sector experts, educational providers and educational authorities) coordinated by TECOS:
• Slovenia: TECOS, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor (MARIBOR) and Center Republike Slovenijeza Poklicnoizobraževanje (CPI)
• Spain: National Technological Centre for the Food and Canning Industry CTC, Technical Research Centre of Furniture and Wood of The Region of Murcia (CETEM) and Regional Service for training and employment (SEF)
• Italy: TEXCLUBTEC, Centro Tessile Cotoniero e Abbigliamento Spa (CENTROCOT) and AICQ SICEV Srl (SICEV)
• Romania: INCDBA IBA Bucharest (IBA), ECOEVALIND and National Romanian Sectorial Committee for Vocational Training in Environmental (CSFPM)
The main results of this alliance will be a new joint curriculum and a training course for European Eco-designers that will add skills and competences to the designers regarding environmental technologies. Also, it will allow designers, from one specific sector, to change their industrial activity to other sector. The new training course will be formed by Open Educational Resources protected by open licenses and available in Massive Open Online Course platforms.

In order to have a realistic perspective and a reliable approach of training / skills needs in this field, a questionnaire is presented below by the project team, in which you can orientate us in the definition of the contents of the project.

The data provided will be treated confidentially and any results of the research will be provided in aggregate.

Il progetto ECOSIGN promuove un partenariato in quattro nazioni europee (Slovenia, Spagna, Romania e Italia) con l’obiettivo definire le nuove competenze e conoscenze necessarie ai designer dei settori tessile-abbigliamento, food packaging ed elettronico per far fronte all’esigenze di maggiore sostenibilità ambientale (design per l’ambiente: è l’integrazione di aspetti ambientali nello sviluppo di un prodotto).
ECOSIGN permetterà agli industrial designer di questi settori di ridurre l’impatto ambientale nel ciclo di vita di un prodotto, incluso l’uso di materie prime e risorse naturali e le fasi di produzione, confezionamento e imballaggio, trasporto, dismissione e riciclo.
Il partenariato è composto dai seguenti dodici partner (esperti di settore, enti di formazione professionale e organismi di certificazione) coordinati dal partner sloveno TECOS:

Il risultato principale sarà un nuovo Curriculum Vitae comune e corsi di formazione per Eco-designer europei con capacità e competenze aumentate in materia di tecnologie ambientali. I nuovi corsi di formazione saranno composti da Open Educational Resources protetti da licenze aperte e disponibili su piattaforme on-line MOOC (Massive Open Online Course).

Al fine di ottenere una visione realistica e un approccio affidabile alle esigenze di formazione / competenze in questo campo, il team di progetto ha elaborato il seguente questionario, come strumento utile per la definizione dei contenuti del progetto.

I dati forniti saranno trattati confidenzialmente e i risultati della ricerca saranno forniti in modo aggregato.
