Application to #APConnect Communities of Practice ('Constellation C & B') 2021-22
⭐️⭐️⭐️We would like to invite you to apply for Year 4 #APConnect CONSTELLATION B 💫 or CONSTELLATION C 💫 (jointly these make up the Community of Practice strand of APConnect).⭐️⭐️⭐️

CONSTELLATION B💫 is for new and new-to-APConnect APs and for people who are on their journey to becoming an AP. It is structured, with online modules to complete and lots of support from the Constellation facilitators. No-one’s potential is limited and you have access to Constellation C opportunities.

CONSTELLATION C💫 is for relatively experienced APs, including those who have been on the programme before. Constellation C is a festival of co-learning, with the intention of amplifying and sharing AP practice, to influence lasting culture change across all contexts and settings of FE. Last year APs organised events, blogged, podcasted, became writers for TES and even started a radio station! We’ll help you find your voice and we’ll bring you together with other APs who will inspire and support you.

OUR RESEARCH BASE
Last year, we learned so much together through our #APConnect Co-Evaluation and #APDigital Research Projects about how APs survive and what conditions enable them to thrive. APs as change agents were a powerful force in the drive to move online - and back - during Covid times, leading the way in values-led practices of joy, care and equality.

YEAR 4
We are delighted to have received funding for a fourth year from the Education and Training Foundation - and the programme has expanded! Numbers this year are higher, so we are staggering the start of the #APConnect elements.

We know there are powerhouses amongst CONSTELLATION C, so this is our first invitation to apply to that strand of the programme. CONSTELLATION C comprises relatively experienced Advanced Practitioners (APs by any name - #APDigital unearthed 44 different job titles for those involved in advanced practice). Your role will be to continue innovation and culture change in quality improvement, amplifying your own work and that of others.

⚡️⚡️⚡️We are initially offering 75 places on CONSTELLATION C and we anticipate being over subscribed.

We are also beginning recruitment to CONSTELLATION B, with a warm welcome, support and some asynchronous opportunities, building up to a September inception day.

#APConnect is organised by touchconsulting Ltd on behalf of The Education and Training Foundation (ETF). This year, ETF have asked us to support 585 unique engagements, by which they mean 585 discrete individuals who have directly benefited from #APConnect. ⭐️It doesn't matter if you have been on #APConnect before, you can still apply to CONSTELLATION C & B⭐️ We still hope to make every strand of the programme available to anyone who wants to apply, even if we have already counted your engagement in our monitoring, but, mindful of how far we can also stretch our energies and resources, we can't guarantee this.



Please note that CONSTELLATION C💫 applicants will be expected to attend the Inception Day on Wednesday 7 July 2021.

CONSTELLATION B💫 applicants have their own Inception on Wednesday 29 September 2021, so please keep this day free. B's meet twice, so get Wednesday 12th January 2022 in the diary too.

For Constellation C, we expect you to amplify the work you and your AP team are doing within the organisation, on the national stage! This may take the form of blogging, presenting, podcasting, vlogging - you name it. There's lots of support on hand.

We are also very interested to hear from those of you who want to run practitioner-led FE professional learning activities across your organisation and networks including action learning sets/Ideas Rooms, knowledge exchanges and networks.

You will need to commit to the Inception Day on Wednesday 7 July 2021. This is a deal-breaker as we begin here to build community - and Constellation C is as strong as its relationships. If this is impossible for you, please contact us.

We would like you to suggest some initial ideas here. We won't hold you to it! But it would be good to know you are already thinking you through your ideas. We'll run lots of Ideas Rooms to help you expand them.

There are online modules and we ask you to identify a small-scale quality improvement (research) project to work on, which will help contextualise your learning. You also have access to the many Constellation C opportunities and you'll be part of an exciting online community in which we expect you to participate.

You will need to commit to the Inception Day on Wednesday 29 September 2021. This is a deal-breaker as we begin here to build community - and Constellation B is as strong as its relationships. If this is impossible for you, please contact us.

We would like you to suggest some initial ideas for your small-scale quality improvement project. We won't hold you to them! But it would be good to know you are already thinking you through your ideas. We'll run lots of Ideas Rooms to help you expand your thinking.

Getting Beyond the Filter Bubble
Each year, our social media marketing campaign is really successful, but we know that lots of colleagues never go near Twitter and the like. This year we are determined to reach beyond our own 'filter bubbles' - and we'd appreciate your help. Thank you 🙏
3. #APConnect has a great presence on social media. But we are very aware that we want to reach deeper into organisations, to find colleagues who are not on Twitter and, equally importantly, to reach colleagues whose identities are under-represented in #APConnect. Do you have any ideas which might help us do this? (It's fine if you don't!)
