(Revised fall 2025)
Assembly Mennonite Church offers financial support for education in several ways. In May 2025, the congregation approved a revised Student Aid Policy, after more than a year of discussion and process. Please see AMC's current Student Aid policy for full details.
To request student aid for NEXT school year (2026-27), please submit this required form by Oct. 4, 2025.
If there are multiple students in your household, please fill out the form separately for each student.
For church budgeting purposes, this information is needed almost a year in advance of the beginning of the school year. Example: if you are filling this form out in September of 2025, your answers will reflect the 2026-27 school year. (We are planning for the church's 2026 fiscal year Jan.-Dec. 2026).
A. Mennonite College and Seminary tuition support
Please complete the questions below by Oct. 4 for NEXT school year (2026-27).
Assembly will provide 8% of base tuition for covenanted members of Assembly or their children who attend Mennonite colleges and seminaries. College students may receive aid for up to 8 semesters. (Budgeted in the AMC General Fund.)
B. Bethany Christian Schools tuition support
Please complete the questions below by Oct. 4 for NEXT school year (2026-27).
Assembly will provide tuition support for covenanted members of Assembly or their children who attend Bethany Christian Schools grades K-12. NEW: beginning with the 2026 church fiscal year / 2026-27 school year, this is handled in a separate Bethany Tuition Fund outside the regular church budget/General Fund. Tuition support available will be based on pledges and offerings received into this special fund. The amount for students in grades K-5 will be approximately half the amount given for students in grades 6-12. See the full Student Aid policy for details.
C. Education Needs for our K-12 students
A separate request form will be coming later for this.
NEW: beginning with the church's 2026 fiscal year, AMC provides an Education Needs line-item for any K-12 student in a covenanted family to request support for any educational need (e.g. tutors, instrument rentals, special class fees, tuition). This could be up to $250 per student twice a year. The spirit of this is a needs-based honor system. See the full Student Aid policy for details. (Budgeted in the AMC General Fund).
D. School Support for K-12 Teachers and Staff
A separate request form will be coming later for this.
This a revised approach to supporting schools and educators, beginning in the church's 2026 fiscal year. See the full Student Aid policy for details. (Budgeted in the AMC General Fund).
E. Minority student aid for Mennonite College and Seminary
Note, the congregation will continue to send approximately 10% of the total aid designated for AMC college and seminary students to Mennonite Education Agency. This is for financial aid for minority students from outside the congregation attending Mennonite colleges or seminary. (Budgeted in the AMC General Fund).
