ThoughtSTEM Workshops: Computer Science the Fun Way and Young Tech Entrepreneurs!

Computer Science the Fun Way workshops are for 8-18 year olds who are interested in learning programming. Students will engage in a range of computer science concepts by tackling challenges in several programming environments: from Arduino to Javascript & Website development. As we grow we will offer more and more challenges, concepts, and programming environments! To sign your child up for any of ThoughtSTEM's workshops through June 16th, please fill out this form.

Young Tech Entrepreneurs (YTE) workshops are for advanced students only (typically high school students, but some advanced middle school students as well). Currently the YTE group is working on laser tag equipment, but students are able to choose and work on any marketable technology that they are interested in. Students will be helped along with the guidance and support of our amazing mentors!

There are two workshops every Sunday: one from 10am-12pm, and another from 2-4pm in the UCSD CSE Department (EBU3B Room 1202). Directions and more information will be emailed to you once you sign up.

Workshops are $50 per child, though several discounts are available:
-Sibling Discount (2 children): If you have two children participating in a workshop, you will get a rate of $40 per child.
-Sibling Discount (3 or more children): If you have three of more children participating in a workshop, you will get a rate of $30 per child.
-Referral Discount: If you refer 5 new students who come to a workshop at least once, you will get a rate of $30 for your child for 3 months!
-Buy 10 Discount: If you purchase 10 workshops up front you will receive a rate of $35 per workshop. A punchcard system will be used to keep track of your 10 workshops, so that there are no repercussions for missing any one workshop.
