At Regent, we believe learning happens best in community. Community (Soup) Groups are a gathering of of 6-8 people (including current students, staff and faculty) that meet onsite for about 1 hour each week, following Chapel, and are a casual space for personal connection, care and prayer.

A Community (soup) Group at Regent:

is a mix of new students and returning students, faculty or staff
meets on Tuesdays following Chapel from 12:15-1:15pm
shares soup together
has a facilitator who lend oversight to a group, but it is expected that the facilitation of weekly meetings will be shared by group members.

Which Community Group would you like to join? *

ACADEMICS ANONYMOUS: a group for those actively discerning a PhD path and for discussing the practical and personal implications of this vocational call.

ARTS: a gathering of artists who share art and pray together.

GARDEN (meets on an adhoc basis throughout the term): a group focused on growing, tending and harvesting the Regent garden, care for creation and each other.

GLOBAL PRAYER: a group which gathers to pray for global issues and to pray for each other.

PASTORAL MINISTRY: a pastoral oasis for those pursuing pastoral ministry for prayer, encouragement and edification.

RHYTHMS FOR SPIRITUAL FORMATION: a group which will walk together in prayer, scripture memorization and engage in discussion toward mutual encouragement. [Meets on Tuesday and then one other morning per week (TBD) for further discussion and encouragement.]

SACRED PAUSE: a group which offers a ‘sacred pause’ in our busy lives to intentionally open ourselves to listen to the Spirit and to express aspects of our spiritual journey in a safe and confidential space.

TCK: a space to connect with fellow third culture kids (TCK's) to share our unique experiences and learn from one another.

WORSHIP WORKSHOPPERS: a group that reflects on how our worship practices shape us, at Regent and beyond.
