The webinar is organized by the Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development, UN DESA and complements the VNR preparatory process organized by UN DESA for Member States. Building on lessons learned and good practices from previous reviews, it is intended to help guide the support of Resident Coordinators and UN Country Team Focal Points to the Voluntary National Reviews. The session will give a succinct overview of the VNR process, from the preparation of the review and the elaboration of the report to the intergovernmental discussion at the HLPF as well as potential follow-up actions after the presentation in New York. The webinar will also provide a platform for Resident Coordinators and UNCT focal points to exchange their experiences, best practices and challenges in supporting Governments in the preparation of VNRs.
