17 July, 2018, 8:15-9:30am Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea (335 E. 45th St., New York)
Light breakfast will be provided at 8am.
Hosted by the governments of Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea, this event is conducted under the auspices of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation.
The objective of the side event is to discuss key opportunities and generate evidence-based dialogue for strengthening inclusive institutional frameworks at the country level. It will draw on first-hand experience in fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships to address a wide variety of sustainable development challenges, in particular strengthening countries’ capacity for resilience.
The discussion will also aim to exchange ideas on how national multi-stakeholder partnerships can help implement the SDGs, and be reflected in Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs). The side event will be organised as an interactive, multi-stakeholder panel discussion, including interventions from various countries that will present their VNRs in 2018. The panel will be followed by an open discussion with audience members
